I HOPE

"HERE IS OUR MESSAGE OF HOPE TO THE WORLD. Singers from 28 countries singing and sharing their messages of hope for the future of our world in their own languages."

Choir Artistic Director: Nicol Matt

From our own homes our core singers have recorded I HOPE, composed by Kim André Arnesen and lyrics by Charles Anthony Silvestri. The sound team from Tonstudio Tessmar, Hannover have used their talents to mix us and with video artist Dagmar Tisch they have created our first virtual music video! The beauty of this piece is that many of our singers share with us their own message of peace, relevant to our current times.

Virtual Video to celebrate 75 years of the UN and it's International Court of Law

We are the first to make a video for the Hague Project Peace & Justice celebrating 75 years of the UN and its International Court of Justice. This project was initiated by Dutch harpist Lavinia Meijer and this song 'Hymn for the Nations' was performed for the opening of the International Court of Justice. Our version was performed by 17 of our core singers from around the world with this arrangement by one of our singers Helen Ostafew. For a whole year leading up to the 75th anniversary you are invited to make your own version with singers or any group of instrumentalists. Just download sheet music from instagram and post your version on Musical Instagram journey #unitedmusic75 We'd love to hear it!

ALBUM | PEACEFUL CHOIR

IN THE NEW FORMAT FOR 360 REALITY AUDIO

9th-14th March 2020 | Hanover, Germany

In March 2020, the first album production with the WORLD CHOIR FOR PEACE took place in the Tessmar recording studio in Hanover. PEACEFUL CHOIR combines choral singing with harp, violin, piano and cello. The recording supports the idea of "Singing for Peace" as a peaceful coexistence of different nations and cultures. Compositions from 20 world-leading composers were chosen, including a number of works that have been specially written for our production.

360 REALITY AUDIO RECORDING:

We recorded in the new 360 Reality Audio format. 360 Reality Audio is an inspiring musical experience based on Sony's object-based spatial audio technology. Individual sounds such as vocals, choir, piano, harp, violin, cello and even noises from the live audience can be inserted into a spherical 360° sound field.

THE ARTISTS:

In addition to the 24 professional singers of the WORLD CHOIR FOR PEACE, Sony Classical has arranged well-known artists to perform on the production. These include Lavinia Meijer (harp), Esther Abrami (violin), Maarja Nuut (violin, Tim Allhoff (piano) and Josefa Schmidt (piano).

The album will be advertised worldwide with several individual titles and videos over a period of six months until the full album is released in September 2020.

THE COMPOSERS:

Kim Andre Arnesen (Norway), Daniel Elder (USA), Eriks Esenvalds (Latvia), Dan Forrest (USA), Hauschka (Germany), Sir Karl Jenkins (Wales),  Maarja Nuut (Estonia), Ellis Ludwig-Leone (USA), Ola Gjeilo (USA), John Rutter (England), Arvo Pärt (Estonia), Eric Whitacre (USA), Elaine Hagenberg (USA), Helen Ostafew (England), David Reichelt (Germany),  Max Richter (UK), Jake Runestad (USA) Fredrik Sixten (Sweden), Mikahail Shukh (Ukraine), Hans Zimmer (USA),

Crowdfunding

We will soon be opening a crowdfunding campaign and we need your help to create PEACEFUL CHOIR!

PEACEFUL CHOIR is the new CD production by Nicol Matt, the first recording with the new choir WORLD CHOIR FOR PEACE accompanied by harp, violin, piano and cello. The selected pieces by 20 international composers are a homage to the unique nature of our planet and a reminder of peace in our world. Both are essential!

We ask for donations for the realisation of this unique CD, with NEW compositions by selected international composers. Today we would like to thank all those involved who have waived fees in order to create this musically remarkable work.

The production costs include the travel and accommodation and subsistence costs of the singers from all over the world, as well as the costs for the recording in the recording studio in Hanover and the subsequent post-production.

For your active participation in our fundraiser, we have come up with attractive THANK YOU gifts. Take part - be part of it!
